Battle of the Bridge Contest on Sunday

Sylvia Kowalski is the MAAC Player of the Wee

A very busy weekend of NCAA Division I soccer is scheduled for the Demske Sports Complex this weekend. The Canisius women bring a gaudy 8-1-2 record into this week’s play. The Griffs are at Howard this afternoon (Friday) and then host the first Canisius-Niagara event of the season on Sunday when the Purple Eagles (6-6-1) pay a visit to Delavan and Main for a 4 p.m. clash.

The men’s soccer team is also busy with a pair of home tilts. Canisius opens conference play with a 7 p.m. game tonight (Friday) versus St. Peter’s and concludes the weekend with a 1 p.m. game at the Demske on Sunday against Manhattan.

There is no admission charge for any home soccer game.

Today’s Cyber Security Tip – Beware “Free” Software

Though there are many “free” software packages on the Internet, some of them come bundled with malicious software that monitors your computer usage or attempts to steal your data. Before you download and install something, it might be best to type the name of the software package into your favorite search engine and do some research on it. Sure, a Web site might promise you a Buffalo Bills screen saver and mouse pointer; but is it really worth it if it steals your bank account information as well?
