Today’s Cyber Security Month Tip – Protect Your Password

Your password is not just an obstacle that you must surmount to get work done; it’s a method of authentication, meaning that the computer system you’re interacting with believes that you are who you claim to be if you know the proper password. This means that anyone else who knows your password is, from the computer’s point of view, you. Never share your password with anyone, ever, because you are responsible for the actions under your account. If someone in your department needs access to something, please call the Help Desk at Ext. 2299 and we’ll come up with a safe and secure way to share that data.
