The second of three community forums to be held as part of the search for the next president of Canisius College will be held today (September 30) from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center. All faculty and staff are invited to meet and talk with John J. Hurley, JD, executive vice president and vice president for college relations at Canisius. An illustrated talk on “What Michelangelo Learned in Bologna” will be presented by Martha Dunkelman of the Art History Program on Thursday, October 1 at 2:30 p.m. in the Regis Room North. The talk will examine how Michelangelo’s year in the city of Bologna contributed to his early works, including his famous Roman Pieta.

The Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2009 in the Montante Cultural Center. Cocktails begin at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. Cost per person is $75.
