The Amberg Quartet, featuring flute, oboe, clarinet and piano, will perform a recital of works by Jewish composers tonight (October 25) at 7:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center. Canisus College Composer-in-Residence Persis Vehar is the pianist for the ensemble and the three wind players Betsy Reeds, flute; Anna Mattix, oboe and English horn; John Fullam, clarinet are all members of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Reeds and Mattix are also on faculty here at Canisius.  The program showcases the music of Felix Mendelssohn, Ernest Bloch, Gerald Finzi, Lowell Lieberman and new work by Vehar.
