Women’s Soccer Hosts Niagara, Members Of WNY Flash

Brianna Smith

The Golden Griffin women’s soccer team will host its biggest game of the 2011 season on Saturday (October 15) at 7 p.m. when they take on Battle of the Bridge rival Niagara under the Demske Sports Complex lights.

The two squads are tied for second in the MAAC with matching 3-1 records as they enter the second half of the conference season battling for playoff position.  Members of the Women’s Professional Soccer champion WNY Flash will be in attendance to showcase their championship trophy, have pictures taken and sign autographs.

In addition, it will also be Athletes for Athletes Night with members of various Canisius College Golden Griffins teams in attendance to support their fellow athletes.  The Canisius synchro team will receive their championship watches at halftime.

For more information, go to www.gogriffs.com.  And, don’t forget to follow the Griffs on Twitter at twitter.com/gogriffs.  Our quest for 1,000 followers draws near as less than 20 supporters are needed to reach the October goal.

Interested In Using Camtasia?

ITS is gathering interest in bringing Camtasia, a software tool that allows users to record their desktops, narrate the production, include photos, add pointers, and much more, to campus  This tool would be extremely beneficial for online and f2f instructors who would like to deliver lessons virtually.  Click here to learn more about the vast capabilities of Camtasia.

ITS will also facilitate ordering the software for those who wish to purchase it from their departmental budgets.  The cost is $179 per copy, but if 25 or more are interested the cost is reduced so that an individual license is $113.

Those who are interested in using Camtasia can indicate their interest by signing up here.
