The fine arts department and ArtsCanisius present three performances this Saturday, Sunday and Monday (April 21-23). The first concert is an ArtsCanisius Special Event recital of piano music performed by 18 year old pianist Yen Yu Chen, a prize-winner of the 2010 New York International Piano Competition. The concert is Saturday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center and features works by Beethoven, Chopin, Prokofiev, Scarlatti, Schumann and Stravinsky.
The performance on Sunday, April 22 is at 3 p.m. is in Christ the King Chapel. It is a Junior Recital given by soprano Miranda Lombardo as partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music. Lastly, the final Meet-the-Faculty recital of the year is Monday, April 23 at noon in the Montante Cultural Center and features Leslie Salathé, viola and guest pianist Alfred Frenning.
