The All-College Honors Program hosts its 3rd Lunch & Learn of the spring semester on Wednesday, April 11 from noon – 1 p.m. in the Student Center, Room 205. This Lunch & Learn invites two Mormon Church leaders from the area – one is an attorney and social media strategist, the other is a retired professor. This luncheon is an excellent opportunity to learn about a religious tradition different from that of nearly all Canisius students. The focus on Mormonism is especially relevant because this religion began with Joseph Smith, a WNY farm boy, and because the Republican Party appears poised to nominate Mitt Romney, a devout Mormon and longtime bishop in Boston, MA, for this year’s presidential run. If you’re interested, contact Bruce Dierenfeld, PhD, at Ext. 2683 or dierenfb@canisius.edu.
