ArtsCanisius, in conjunction with the Stecher and Horowitz Foundation present award-winning pianist Leann Osterkamp on Saturday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center. The performance will feature works by Bach, Mozart, Mendelssohn, R. Schumann, Mesto and Tchaikovsky. Osterkamp, who is 19 years old, is a rising young artist recognized for her dynamic sound and compelling performances. She was named a “Young Steinway Artist” in 2010 and was a finalist in the 4th New York Piano Competition, where she received outstanding recognition for her performance of the commissioned work. Osterkamp’s participation in the competition will be profiled in the forthcoming PBS documentary “On a Personal Note.” This recital is free and open to the public.
