Members of the campus community are invited to attend a Strategic Planning Campus Forum Thursday (March 10) from 2 – 4 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center.
President Hurley will give an update on the Long-range Strategic Planning Committee’s progress on the new strategic plan and seek feedback from participants on the current draft. Participants will have an opportunity to work in small groups to review the sections of the plan and offer comments and recommendations. Please mark your calendars and join us!

Director of Athletics Bill Maher announced that Canisius College added women’s rowing to its NCAA Division I sports offerings. The team begins varsity competition in the fall of 2011, and a search for a head coach is now underway. For more information, click here.

The ArtsCanisius lecture scheduled for today (March 10) at 2:30 p.m. in the Regis Room has been postponed. Elizabeth Legge, PhD, professor of modern art at the University of Toronto, will deliver her lecture entitled, “Superfaciality: The Ethics of Taking Photographs in a Mirror” in the Fall 2011 semester. The Canisius women’s lacrosse team plays its home opener this Saturday (March 12) at 1 p.m. when Longwood pays a visit to the Demske Sports Complex. The Griffs will be concluding a tough week of play that has seen them match up against Stanford, Ohio State and Binghamton. There is no admission charge to watch the women’s lacrosse team play.
