Lent & Ash Wednesday Information

The Christian season of Lent begins tomorrow (March 9) with the celebration of Ash Wednesday.  Lent is the period of “forty days” leading up to Easter and is a time for prayer, fasting, almsgiving, and other good works that promote spiritual renewal.

Ash Wednesday Masses in the chapel are at 8 a.m., 12:05 p.m., 1 p.m., 5:10 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.  Ashes will be given out at each Mass after the Liturgy of the Word.  The 8 a.m. mass will be completed by 8:30 a.m. and there will be music at each of the other Masses.  All are welcome.

Campus Ministry Lenten resources can be found here with suggestions for prayer, fasting, almsgiving, service, masses, etc.
