The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry will host Frank Scarpinato, environmental education specialist with the Erie County Department of Environment and Planning, on Friday, April 16 at 2 p.m. in Horan-O’Donnell Room 107.
Scarpinato will explain what radon is, where it comes from, why it is dangerous, how to test for it, and where to get help mitigating high levels. This presentation is designed to inform the average citizen of the potentially life threatening hazard presented by radon gas, and is a must for all home owners and anyone who ever plans on buying a home.
