Continuing A Conversation On Engaging Students In Learning

Last semester, Rene DeLaPedraja, PhD, professor, history, and Ann Wright, PhD, professor, biology, led a fruitful and thought-provoking conversation on engaging students in our classrooms.  They based the conversation on an examination of classroom behavior in both the U.S. and Japan, noting the differences between teacher interactions with students in the two countries.

Wright and the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) are holding a follow-up conversation to look at the ways faculty can engage students in the classroom and the course material.  The conversation will begin at 3 p.m. today (March 26) in the Library Conference Room.  All are welcome to come and share their experiences, insights, and talent with the Canisius community.  Please RSVP to Ext. 3720 if you would like to attend.
