In my first blog post, I mentioned that I will be working on updating the Hertel Walls website while interning in Councilmember Feroleto’s office. Prior to working on the website, I was told that it was made using GoDaddy. Since I have no prior experience in using GoDaddy, I created an account and learned how to navigate and create a website. However, as soon as I was given access to change the Hertel Walls website, I found out that it was made using WordPress. Despite the website not being built using GoDaddy, I was still able to pick up a new skill by familiarizing myself with it. Although I have WordPress before, I have not used Cherry Framework, which was used to make the main page. Since I had to edit the main page, I started to learn the framework. I caught on pretty quickly since it looks similar to HTML as far as having opening and closing tags.

I really appreciate how much you are learning while interning with Hertel Walls! I am also impressed with your willingness to learn new tools to get the job done, and to persevere, even when you are in unfamiliar territory. Bravo!
