D2L’s developers have steadily revised, simplified, and standardized language and features in our D2L course spaces. The latest is a minor change to simple visibility toggle, that makes it the same across tools.
You may have used the “Draft vs. Published” toggle in the past. It still does the same thing, but looks and works a little differently. The Hidden/Visible status is consistent across content, dropboxes, discussions, and quizzes. By default, new dropboxes and discussions are visible, but new quizzes default to hidden.
