ESPN3 Broadcast Set for Tuesday Night

SiebertWant to be part of history? Then check out the first-ever Canisius produced ESPN3 broadcast from the Koessler Center Tuesday night when your Golden Griffin volleyball team hosts the University at Buffalo. The match is set to begin at 7:04 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to wear blue and gold and bring your “Welcome ESPN3” signs to the contest. There is no admission charge for the event.

Meet-the-Faculty Music Lecture/Performance

Composer/flutist Michael Colquhoun, PhD, will present a music lecture/performance on Monday, September 14 at 12:00 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center. His lecture, “Playing the Image: Graphic Notation and Improvisation – An Exploration of the Connections between Sight and Sound” will discuss the pros and cons of graphic notation from the performer’s perspective.

Colquhoun will discuss the works of Earl Brown, Morton Feldman and Edgard Varese, and perform select works.
