Pope Watch Party is September 24

On September 24, join the Ignatian Solidarity Network, along with Jesuit institutions and Catholic parishes around the U.S. in watching a historic moment unfold. Pope Francis will address a joint session of the U.S. Congress. Invited by Speaker John Boehner, Pope Francis will speak to a Congress where more than 30 percent of members self-identify as Catholic. Nearly 15 percent attended a Catholic college or university. In addition, 55 of the members were educated at Jesuit universities or high schools.

Campus Ministry invites you to gather for a Pope Francis Watch Party. Join us for a fun morning of reflection and conversation. The Watch Party will begin with Pope Francis’ address at 10:00 a.m. in the Science Hall commons. Refreshments will be provided. The Pope’s address is estimated to be approximately 30 minutes.

Any questions, please contact Sarah Signorino at signoris@canisius.edu or Ext. 2424. We hope you can join us for this exciting event!

Qualtrics Replacing Checkbox

Over the summer, ITS and the FacTS Center brought to campus Qualtrics, a new advanced online survey application.

The old online survey tool, Checkbox, will no longer be available after Wednesday, September 30. Checkbox users need to export and archive their Checkbox data, including surveys, responses and reports to another location by that time. This data will not be retrievable once Checkbox is removed.

You can access Qualtrics by going to my.canisius.edu, where in “All Applications and Services” you will find the Qualtrics icon. The FacTS Center will run workshops during the fall to help users get acquainted with Qualtrics. For users with long surveys, a conversion process is available that can move question text from Checkbox to Qualtrics. For links to text and video tutorials and our workshop signup sheet, go to canisius.edu/surveys.
