The Office of Campus Programming and Leadership Development invites you to our New Year, New You special presentation for faculty and staff: Working with Four Generations on Campus–Celebrating our Differences.

Join us on Thursday, September 26 at 11:00 a.m. in Regis North for this presentation by Gail Hand. As a corporate speaker, author and sales guru, Gail started her stand-up career in 1989 in San Francisco and has since toured over 1000 Companies, Universities & Associations in the U.S. and Canada. With her Power of Laughter programs including leadership, working with generations, employee engagement, stress management, and diversity trainings, Gail has been a positive movement with companies, universities, and associations in North America.

Composer-in-Residence Lecture Thursday

Canisius College Composer-in-Residence Persis Parshall Vehar presents a lecture entitled “Choosing Words” on Thursday, September 26 at 2:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center.

Vehar will discuss the inspirational role of the written word for both instrumental and vocal music. Included in the discussion are the writings of Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, Charles Bukowski and local poet Ann Goldsmith. The lecture will feature musical examples including works recently performed at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. This lecture is free and open to the public.

The Office of Campus Programming and Leadership Development invites you to our New Year, New You presentation: Smart Social Networking. Smart Social Networking highlights making positive decisions to secure a solid online reputation for students while still in college. This interactive program provides tips and methods to represent yourself and your campus in a professional manner online giving a better chance for students to get the internship or job they desire.

Join us on Thursday, September 26 at 7:00 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center for this presentation by Gail Hand. League Leading Volleyball Team Home for a Pair

Your first place Golden Griffin volleyball team returns to the Koessler Athletic Center this weekend for a pair of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference matches. Canisius will host Marist at 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon before battling Siena at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Welcome Back Social

The American Indian Center at Canisius College will host a welcome back social for Western New York’s Native American college students on Saturday, September 28, from 6:00 – 9:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center.

The “Haudenosaunee Social” will feature food and entertainment. The event is free and open to the public. Guests are asked to bring a dish to pass.
