Fall “Teaching Teas” Events Begin Today (September 6)

The Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) will once again hold tri-weekly “Teaching Tea” sessions beginning today (September 6) from 2 – 3 p.m. in the Faculty Dining Room.  Tea will be served.

The “Teaching Tea” series is a relaxed, informal event where Canisius faculty and staff from across the campus can gather to talk about teaching, learning, sharing ideas and problem solving techniques.  The five key teaching elements of Ignatian pedagogy – context, experience, reflection, action, evaluation – will be a focus of this semester’s events.

RSVP is not necessary, and Canisius faculty and staff can come and go as they please.  Additional sessions will be held Monday, September 26 from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.; Tuesday, October 18 from 2 -3 p.m.; Monday, November 8 from 2 – 3 p.m.; and Tuesday, November 28 from 2:30 -3:30 p.m.
