Canisius Chorale At St. Pius X Church Sunday (November 21)

The Canisius College Chorale, under the direction of Frank Scinta, will continue its 2010 Sacred Spaces concert series with a program on Sunday (November 21) at 7:30 p.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1700 North French Road in Getzville, NY.  The concert will feature works by Mendelssohn, Lauridson, Lotti, Hogan, Dawson and others.  A free-will offering will be accepted.

Sacred Spaces stems from an idea the choir proposed six years ago to feature its music in some of Western New York’s most beautiful and acoustically resonant environments – namely, the sanctuaries of our area’s churches.  As a result, the choir has visited nearly 30  houses of worship with its repertoire of sacred and secular music spanning five centuries.
