The WNY Woman Interning at the Foundation for WNY Women.

Hi everyone! My name is Chloe, and I’m a senior here at Canisius. I am sorry that I don’t have a photo of myself at my internship. It has been very busy and I forgot to ask someone to take my photo!

I am currently interning at the WNY Women’s Foundation. I am there Monday and Wednesday from 11-3. My responsibilities given by my supervisors include:

  • Scheduling social media posts (either on HootSuite or each of the platforms themselves.
  • Creating and producing marketing and signage for the 20th Anniversary Party.
  • Helping develop decor for the Fall in Fashion Event.
  • Helping produce the Fashion Show by organizing logistics with volunteer members, and developing strategies to incorporate our mission into the show.

I was a bit nervous for my internship, but nothing I couldn’t handle. I was genuinely excited to get some sort of idea about the working world. I have had other jobs, but none really compare to this. I am settling in nicely. I am polite to all my coworkers and superiors (as one should be) and I get the same treatment back. It is a great fit for me and I am really excited to be interning here this semester.
