Over the summer I began my first internship at Make-A-Wish, and so far it has exceeded my expectations. The Make-A-Wish Foundation creates wishes for children with critical illnesses, with the expectation of granting the wish of every eligible child. I feel so lucky to be interning at such an amazing organization.
The past few weeks have mostly consisted of getting to know about the organization and helping prepare for the annual Radiothon. So far I have researched different auction item ideas, input information into excel spreadsheets, made updates to the auction website, among many other tasks. Each day at my internship is different, which has greatly contributed to maximizing the rewards of my intern experience.
My goals regarding what I wanted to learn and experience during my internship have already been exceeded, and I truly enjoy each moment I spend at Make-A-Wish.
