My internship at EMA has come to an end. It was a very good experience interning at such a busy up-beat place. I met a lot of people and even branched out to other places that I have designed work for the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. I have learned how an ad agency operates, enhanced my design skills, collaborated, and discussed my work in front of people at reviews more effectively and professionally.

The beginning of the internship was slow but as time went on I became really busy with meeting deadlines for projects. Sometimes I had multiple things due which is expected and this helped me more with time management. My goals have been reached and I was able to use some of my piece in my portfolio which is good to have.  All the projects I been doing all very much varied with what creative programs I had to use as well as different audiences. Collaborating with writers was also a fun process to voice off of each other to create a finished product. I learned that I like to see things come together into a finished project because I can look back, reflect, and take a breath of fresh air because the task has been completed. It was bitter-sweet leaving the agency. I feel that EMA was a very good choice for me as a Digital Media Arts student and I would recommend this to anyone else in the field.

I plan on taking everything I learned there with me to my next internship and even to my future job. Working at an advertising agency seems to be a good fit for me from this experience but I am also to giving other types of places a shot as well and have an open eye for other opportunities that may come up.
