This week wraps up my final week at Tops Friendly Markets! It is a bittersweet ending because while my time there has been a fruitful experience, I am excited to see what opportunities lie ahead. I am excited to continue making strides in the food industry!

These last few weeks, I have been working on my final presentation. I applied what I have learned about the company and its marketing strategies these past four months to develop an integrated marketing plan. The campaign had two objectives, raise awareness of Tops’ selection of health and wellness solutions, with a partial focus on organic, gluten-free, and plant-based products. Secondly, raise awareness of the benefits of families sharing meals while positioning Tops as an ally for families by providing accessible and affordable meal solutions for families. I enjoyed collaborating with my colleagues and learning more about their responsibilities throughout the process. From graphic design to consumer reports, it gave me insight into all the moving parts of developing and executing a cohesive marketing campaign. In addition, presenting my campaign to my colleagues was great practice for overcoming my speech anxiety and improving my oral communication skills.

I am proud of myself for accomplishing the goals I set for myself at the beginning of my internship and more. For instance, I developed a new content calendar for social media that Tops will continue to use after my departure. It is a skill that I picked up from my previous internship at lloyd. Overall, I had a rewarding experience, and a special thanks to my supervisor for being a rockstar. She provided me guidance and all the resources I needed to make the most of my time there.
