I had the pleasure to go to Griff Fair for the first time this year. I wasn’t really sure what to expect and was unsure of where to start or what questions I really should be asking, but I was able to talk to a lot of different people and everyone was really nice. The event was on March 31st in Science Hall and it was great to see so many people in attendance.

For me the two most important groups I talked with were the “Doodle Bugs!” and “Just For Kids Before and After School Program.” For Doodle Bugs, despite me not being interested in early childhood education, it was interesting to hear their stories and what’s common for children at the age education wise. It’s important to know what children are learning before they come to you in higher education.

“Just for Kids” was more what I was used to, especially their summer camp program since I’ve done summer camp before. It was nice hearing about their work environment and the contributions everyone makes. Overall I enjoyed the conversations I had though I was still nervous throughout them. I feel like I now know some more specific questions I could ask for next time rather than the broad ones I had.
