Hello everyone!

Today marks the last day of classes for me as an undergraduate student of Canisius College, and today is also a day of reflection upon all that I have done for the past four years. However, as I reflect upon my experience as an intern at Family Promise of Western New York, I now realize that I am proud to have worked with members of this truly inspirational organization. Throughout the semester, I have been working on a variety of projects for the organization, which included everything from creating graphics for social media to copywriting for a commencement booklet. Over time, I have grown fond of both my supervisors and my fellow interns, and it was their kindness and their commitment to their cause that motivated me to assist them in any way I can. Additionally, I have learned a great deal about media relations and donor relations; specific aspects of communications that I was initially unfamiliar with but have soon developed an affinity for over the course of my internship. Although I did not have an opportunity to write a press release during the duration of my internship, I still may be able to do so because I plan on volunteering at Family Promise of WNY until the middle of summer. Lastly, one of the most important things I have learned as an intern at Family Promise is to work with people from diverse backgrounds; something that I will carry with me into the workforce.

I am wishing the rest of my graduating class the best of luck with their final exams. Go Griffs!
