Getting Used to the Gardens

I am interning at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens in their marketing department. On my first day I was honestly a bit nervous, and didn’t really know what to expect. I had never been to the Gardens before, and I was freaked out at the idea that I had no knowledge of it whatsoever. Things changed immediately in the first hour of being there. My supervisor showed me around, and I even got to watch an interview with channel 2.  I started with posting all our events from now until May on different sites for all the local news outlets. Also, I learned how to run the Gardens’ social media pages, and will be doing more with that in the future. I can honestly say I am very excited to continue my internship and learn a lot from my supervisor about how to work professionally.
