I am very excited to be starting my first ever internship at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. I have heard what internships are like but have never experienced one first hand. I am looking forward to working in a professional setting where I work with seasoned professionals instead of what I am used to in retail. I am really looking forward to starting work in something that has to do with my communication major and see how I fit in with that work. I have started my internship and so far I have done things such as mailings, event planning, putting said events on various websites for the public to see. My second week, I helped run the Lumagination event at the Botanical Gardens. It was an awesome experience helping run an event of that magnitude. I feel very comfortable at my internship. Everyone there is so friendly, personable, and very caring. I feel very fortunate to be placed where I am. I am very excited for what my future holds with this organization
