For the spring semester I interned at Eric Mower & Associates in downtown Buffalo. At the beginning of this semester I hoped to get to know different departments within the agency as well as take away at least one piece for my portfolio.
I have learned a lot this semester and had the opportunity to work on many different projects. I began the semester working on smaller things, like editing files and finding images. As the semester progressed I was given larger tasks. Two of the biggest projects involved designing promotional billboards and gala invites for a non-profit organization. Both of these projects were a lot of fun and gave me experience in keeping with a certain look and feel across multiple platforms.
I liked the atmosphere of the office, everyone was always friendly and it was great being able to work with other interns from different departments. Overall, I became more aware of the advertising industry and could see myself working in the industry in the future.
