Public Safety Commendations and Appreciations

Public Safety Director Gary Everett presented Jasmine East with a certificate of commendation on Monday, December 15.

A member of the Public Safety Department, East was recognized for providing first aid at an accident scene on Humboldt Parkway, in which a tractor trailer driver suffered a heart attack causing his rig to crash into several cars and telephone poles.

East is a part-time officer on the afternoon shift. She recently completed one year of service at Canisius.

Director Everett also presented Lauris Robinson with a certificate of appreciation, during Monday’s ceremony. Lauris was recognized for his continued support and acts of kindness to the Canisius community. Most recently, Robinson found some property belonging to a Canisius student and immediately notified the Public Safety Department.
