Today’s Women in the Arts Event features Jane Cary, professor of fine arts/music and director of the music program. Her lecture, entitled “Women’ Musical Roles in 18th Century America,” is at 2:30 p.m. in the Regis Room and will look at women composers, performers, librettists and copyists from the North and the South, including performer Graupner, performer/composer van Hagen, teacher/librettist Rowson , composer Pownell and copyist Praezel.
