A Stanley Makowski/Canisius school partnership event was held on campus on Friday, March 21. The Research Exhibition was a culminating event to showcase projects related to the school’s International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. Persis Vehar Competition for Excellence in Composition

ArtsCanisius presents a performance of the winning works of the 2014 Persis Vehar Competition for Excellence in Composition on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center. The competition is open to young composers from WNY. Prize winners are:
1st Prize, Teagan Faran, junior, Williamsville East High School
2nd Prize, Carly Hand, junior, Grand Island High School
3rd Prize, Grace Ann Lee, junior, Williamsville East High School

Baseball Schedule Adjusted

The schedule for the baseball team has been slightly adjusted for this week. Tuesday’s 3:00 p.m. contest versus the University at Buffalo is still scheduled to be played, however weather conditions will be monitored on Tuesday morning.

Wednesday’s battle against St. Bonaventure has been postponed due to the expected cold temperatures. It has been rescheduled for 3 p.m., Tuesday, April 15.

This weekend’s three-game conference series versus Manhattan is still scheduled to be played. The two teams will meet at noon on Saturday for a twin bill and again at noon on Sunday for a single game.

Social Security Representative on Campus

James Marsh, Buffalo claims representative from the Social Security Administration will present an overview of Social Security benefits. He will discuss how to apply for Social Security benefits, what impact collecting Social Security benefits prior to your full retirement age will have, and much more. The presentation will take place on Thursday, April 3 at 10:00 a.m. in the Student Center Conference Room. All faculty and staff are invited to attend.
