Griffs Host Hockey Playoffs This Weekend

It’s Time for Playoff Hockey!

For the second consecutive season, your Canisius hockey team will host an opening round playoff series at the Buffalo State Sports Arena. A year ago, Canisius took advantage of the opportunity to advance all the way to the NCAA Tournament.

This year, the Griffs host Sacred Heart at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday night, and if necessary, Sunday night, as well. Similar to last season, Canisius earned the #7 seed. Sacred Heart is the #10 seed. The two teams split their two games series.

Tickets, as set by Atlantic Hockey, are $12.00 for adults and $5.00 for students and youth. To order tickets in advance and avoid the lines at the ticket table, please call 888-2885 by 3 p.m. on Friday.

Regardless of this weekend’s outcome, these games will be the final ones ever for Canisius at Buffalo State. The Griffs move into the HARBORCENTER next season.
