Participate in Director of Campus Ministry Search

The search committee for the new Director of Campus Ministry, is pleased to announce that three candidates have been selected to visit Canisius for a series of interviews with students, faculty and staff. Meetings have been scheduled for the following candidates:
· Sue Chawszczewski on March 24-25
· James Puglisi on April 14-15
· Mike Hayes on April 21-22

Faculty and staff are invited to participate in the process and attend an open session with each candidate on Mondays, March 25, April 15, and April 22 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in the Campus Ministry Conference Room, OM 219.

The job description and resumes for the candidates are available for review on Angel. A web-based evaluation form also will be posted there for you to submit feedback. The link will be available on Monday.

The Director of Campus Ministry is a vitally important position on campus and your input is appreciated.

Go Griffs!

Hockey Update:

Canisius Hockey is in the Atlantic Hockey Association (AHA) Final Four!  The Griffs’ won their first two rounds against Bentley and Air Force and now play Niagara today (Friday) at 4:05 p.m. in the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for students at the Canisius Ticket Office. Contact C-Block for information about the fan bus to Rochester.

Watch the game on Time Warner Sports Channel or listen live at GoGriffs.com.  The winner advances to the championship game on Saturday night.

Basketball update:

The Griffs will play at Youngstown State in the second round of the CollegeInsider.com on Saturday, March 23 at 7 p.m.  Listen live on 1400 AM or GoGriffs.com.

The Griffs defeated Elon University 69-53 in the first round of the CIT. With the win the Golden Griffins improve to 19-13 this season.

TIAA CREF Representative on Campus

Richard Brewer, Individual Consultant for TIAA CREF, will be on campus on Tuesday, March 26 in the Student Center Conference room for individual counseling sessions. He will meet with individuals to review and discuss current investments, answer questions, and review their options to help meet retirement goals.

Men’s Lacrosse to Host Marist Saturday Night

Your men’s lacrosse team hosts Marist in a key early season conference battle Saturday night at the Demske Sports Complex. Game time is scheduled for 7 pm.

The Griffs, who have played one of the toughest non-conference slates in the country are 1-0 in league play after winning at VMI last weekend. The Red Foxes are also 1-0 in league play and had their five game winning streak snapped at Duke this past Monday.
