Shoot and Score Winner Sarah Maurer

Sarah Maurer is a sophomore from nearby Williamsville, N.Y., and the winner of two tickets to an upcoming Sabres game thanks to this entry in the Shoot and Score contest: “You are never alone at Canisius. I see professors, classmates, and other faculty members that I know and trust on every walk I take around the school. There’s always a friendly face to greet you whether you’re traversing through the quad, the halls, or the tunnels. I have already created solid friendships with so many people and I’m only a sophomore. As I progress at Canisius, I know that these bonds will become stronger and I will graduate with some great links to places outside of Buffalo.”

Sarah, a dual major in Adolescence Education and History, won two tickets to the Sabres game versus the New York Rangers on April 19. Your next Sabres game could be on us too. You can enter and win by submitting an example or story that best reflects the Canisius experience. It could be a short story about a student, professor, class, project or activity on or off campus. It could involve you or someone else. We want to hear about service projects, internships, clubs and people that go the extra mile and deserve recognition. Submissions can be made through www.canisius.edu/studentsurge.

Students, faculty and staff can also purchase tickets at the discounted price of $25 each. Tickets are available for most home games and available in the Office of Campus Programming and Leadership Development in the Student Center.
