ArtsCanisius: Meet the Faculty TONIGHT

Come join us for a mid-day break at the Montante with “Meet the Faculty Recital: Frank Scinta, piano”  on Monday, March 11 at 12:00 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center. This event is free and open to the public.

Frank Scinta, adjunct professor of fine arts at Canisius College, is talented in many fields of music focusing on the keyboard (piano and organ) and choral music (Chorale, Opera, Music Dramas).
This Monday, he shares his love of the piano by presenting works by composers of the 1700’s including Clementi and Zupoli.

ArtsCanisius Informally Formal TOMORROW

Event will be held on Tuesday, March 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center. Light refreshments will be served before the concert begins.

Don Harry, Tubist of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra comes to campus on Tuesday evening for another Informally Formal Concert. He will be joined by Susan Schuman, piano, Lon Gormley, trombone, Martha Malkiewicz, bassoon and Al Schlisserman, accordian for a program that explores the many sides of the tuba. (The tuba can do a LOT more than Oom Pah Pah.)

Tickets are $15 general and $7 students.

Griffins Give Back Benefit Concert

The Arts Promotion Club presents their 4th Annual “Griffins Give Back” Benefit Recital on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 7:30 p.m.in the Montante Cultural Center. Tickets are $5 for students and $7 general admission and can be purchased at the door or from the Fine Arts Office, Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

This year the APC will donate all proceeds to the music program at Buffalo Public School 17, Early Childhood Center.
The Arts Promotion Club is a student service organization with the purpose of promoting the arts on camps and in the community. This event is the highlight of their work during the academic year and will feature performances by Canisius College students as well as well as students from BPS 17.
