SUN COME UP: Environmental Refugees
Canisius College is proud to join other Catholic colleges and organizations in airing SUN COME UP, an Academy Award-nominated documentary about the inhabitants of the Carteret Islands. These are among the world’s first environmental refugees, and efforts from Catholic colleges and organizations have been instrumental in helping them to relocate.
The event takes place on Wednesday, October 3 at 7:00 p.m. in Regis North. It is free and open to the entire campus community. A discussion will follow the film.
This event is co-sponsored by the Institute for the Global Study of Religion, the Catholic Studies Program at Canisius and Campus Ministry.
