All Division I athletic programs are required to complete a year-long re-certification process with the NCAA once every 10 years. An extensive self-study report was completed by Canisius College in April 2010 which involved the work of over 50 faculty, administrators, and students. A peer review team along with NCAA staff members will be on-campus today through Wednesday (November 8-10) to perform an on-site review and follow-up of issues identified in the self-study. A decision regarding the certification of our athletic program will be delivered by the NCAA in April 2011.
