Canisius College Composer-in-Residence Persis Vehar will present a free lecture Thursday (November 4) at 2:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center entitled “The Composer and the Audience.”  This lecture promotes Canisius College as a center for creativity and will include recordings of some of Vehar’s compositions.

Vehar is currently in her 13th year as composer-in-residence, and latest work, the Golden Griffin Overture, recently premiered during a Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra concert on campus.
