Next Serious Games Meetup is October 13

MacVie discusses how to incorporate games into course design

The second Serious Games Meetup of the 2017-18 academic year is set for Friday, October 13 at 11:00 a.m. in Lyons Hall Room 122.  Leah MacVie, PhD, returns to speak about games for teaching and learning.  The upcoming meetup is a workshop-style gathering. MacVie will demonstrate practical ways to incorporate gamification principles into course design.  Come and find out how you can add game elements to your courses!

Serious Games serves a wide variety of purposes: educational, scientific simulation, healthcare and therapy, personnel training, emergency management, city planning and politics.  The Serious Games Meetup group explores learning theories and game design, and conducts workshops for faculty, staff, and students that explore digital and analog game use and creation.  And they play games, too.
