On Wednesday, October 26, Canisius College hosted a Wellness Fair to promote a healthy workforce and encourage healthy choices. The fair took place in the Richard E. Winter Student Center from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The fair provided attendees with educational resources and ideas for how to live a better and healthier lifestyle.

Save the Date – Town Hall Meeting

President John J. Hurley will host a Town Hall meeting for faculty and staff on Tuesday, November 15, in the Regis Rooms of the Richard E. Winter ’42 Student Center from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.

Swim Team Hosts Home Opener

After spending the first two weeks of the season on the road, your Canisius men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams return to friendly waters to kick-start the home portion of its schedule. The Griffs will take on Western New York rival Geneseo at noon on Saturday, October 29 at the downtown Flickinger Center.

Divers Brent Carbone ’17 and Travis Wright ’18 have already qualified for zone competition at the end of the season.

Canisius College Fall 2016 Drop-in Tutoring

The Canisius College Literacy Center will be holding drop-in tutoring clinics for students in grades 1-12.  The tutoring sessions will focus on reading, writing and other English work!

The clinics will be held every Monday from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. starting on Monday, November 7 and run through Monday, December 5. Each session will be held at the Canisius College Literacy Center located in the Health Science Building on Delevan Avenue (rear of building).

The tutoring session will be led by Megan Buzzard, a graduate assistant in the Literacy Center.

Dads and Daughters Date Set

The Canisius women’s basketball team will host its first ever Dads and Daughters event during its season-opener on Sunday, November 13, when the Griffs host Northeastern at 2:00 p.m. at the Koessler Athletic Center. All daughters, regardless of age, will be admitted free when accompanied by their dad. All other tickets will sell at a discounted price of $3.00.
