Campus Candid

Students in the physical and health education teacher education (PHETE) program collaborated with the PE program at Buffalo Public School 17 on Tuesday, November 29.  The theme of the event was to plan for the unexpected and PHETE majors were given little notice to teach four consecutive PE lessons to K-2 children.  The students of School 17 were very excited and the exercise proved to be a great learning experience for PHETE majors.

Special thanks to both PE teachers Tricia Vezina and Phil Smith ’13 for coordinating this event.

Get to Know…

B.Porter“I am blessed—really blessed—to come to ‘work’ every day with people who I respect and love—including fellow administrators, faculty and students. Somehow even on the most difficult and demanding days there is some sort of sunshine, some moment of illumination. And so often we as a group make a difference in someone’s life.”
