Film Screening, “First Generation”
The JUSTICE Project and SEHS Office of Educational Partnerships, invite you to attend a special event screening of the documentary film, “First Generation,” on Tuesday, March 5 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Waterfront Elementary School (PS 95), Fourth Street, Buffalo, NY 14202
The film follows the lives of several students who are the first in their families to attend college.
From the application process to acceptance, rejection, financial aid, and surviving and succeeding in college, the documentary raises awareness of the particular challenges faced by these students and the steps communities of educators can take to support and direct them for success.
All Canisius faculty, students and staff are invited to attend and to participate in a moderated discussion immediately following the film.
