Christmas Carols to Welcome the Holiday Season

Cantio Sacra will perform a selection of favorite Christmas carols in the library vestibule on Wednesday, December 8 at 1:00 p.m.  Under the direction of Mason Cancilla, Cantio Sacra will fill the hallway entrance with song and the joyous spirit of Christmas.  Let Cantio Sacra help you reduce your stress and engage the spirit of Christmas!

Mittens, Hats and Scarf Drive

The New Buffalo Institute is collecting mittens, hats and scarves for the organization None Like You/We Care.  They are hosting a giveaway on December 11.  Please help them distribute warm clothing to our neighbors.  See more details on their flyer.

The Magis Podcast Episode 6: The Constructive Uses of Humor

Students in Barbara Irwin, Ph.D., and Jamie O’Neil’s communication classes are teaming up this semester to create episodes of “The Magis Podcast,” featuring student-faculty dialogues at Canisius College. 

In this week’s episode, Connor Beals (COM ‘23) and Dr. Melissa Wanzer sat down to discuss the constructive uses of humor.  In this thought-provoking conversation, the idea that humor can be a valuable and strategic communication tool in a variety of situations is discussed.

Students involved in the production are Brayden Fuller (CSC ‘23), Connor Beals, David Dobrasz (SPMT & JRN ‘23), Jordan Read (DMA ‘22), and Matt Kwiakowski (DMA ‘22)
