Learn to Row



The Canisius College Women’s Rowing team is looking to teach any women on campus how to row! No prior experience is needed. Those interested will be taught this amazing sport from the very basics through taking strokes on the water. If interested, please contact Sasha Bailey, assistant coach, Women’s Rowing, at bailey53@canisius.edu.

W2’s Available Electronically

If you are still receiving a paper copy of your W-2, it will be mailed to your home address next week.

If you signed up to receive it electronically, it will be available now from Self Service Banner.

Please go to Self Service Banner, click on “Employee”, “Tax Forms”, “W2 Year End earning statement”, select 2018 and “Display” and print. You will also have access to all of your prior W2’s.

Monmouth Hawks Visit the KAC

The Canisius men’s basketball team will host Monmouth University on Thursday, January 24 at 7:00 p.m. at the Koessler Athletic Center. Monmouth (5-2 in MAAC play) has posted four consecutive victories, including a buzzer-beating win over Iona this past weekend to move into second place in the MAAC. Canisius (4-2), on the strength of road victories over Quinnipiac and Fairfield, is half of a game behind Monmouth heading into Thursday’s game, which is the annual Suits and Sneakers Night along with Athletes-for-Athletes.

The Griffins Den opens at 5:45 p.m. with a buffet dinner available for $10 and $3 for adult beverages.

What is the Legacy About Racism in the U.S. Catholic Church?

What does it mean to represent Catholic education when it comes to race and racism? What is the legacy about racism in the U.S. Catholic Church? If you’ve been wondering, join the Religious Studies and Theology Department to discuss this topic.

All faculty, staff and students are welcome to an informal reading group on Wednesday, January 30 from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. in the library instruction room. The group will read the book Racial Justice and the Catholic Church (Orbis Books, 2010) by Rev. Bryan Massingale, professor of theological and social ethics at Fordham University, and then discuss the first two chapters of the book.
