Education students in EDY 209: “Developmentally Appropriate Practices: Playing to Learn” visited the Strong Museum of Play in Rochester on Saturday, October 13. The museum is highly interactive and devoted to both the history and the exploration of play. It houses the world’s most comprehensive collection of toys, games and materials related to play. The students themselves played to learn.

This past Saturday, October 13, Wanzer and Barbara Irwin, PhD, communication studies professor, took part in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk held at Canalside in downtown Buffalo, NY. Their team, “WomanStrong,” placed third out of 350 teams raising just more than $10,500.

The list identifies the most influential leaders, men and women under age 40, who have achieved success in their professions and who are involved in the Western New York community. The United Way committee will feature a basket raffle each Friday. When you donate to the 2018 campaign, your name will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of the baskets listed below. You will be eligible to win the first week you pledge and throughout the campaign, so pledge early.
