Faculty members are encouraged to submit Desire2Learn course merges for the summer 2017 sessions sooner this year. The Center for Online Learning & Innovation (COLI) and ITS need more time to process them due to upgrades being performed on Desire2Learn. Please submit your course merge request as soon as possible to ensure that your merge is completed when you need it.

To Submit a D2L Course Merge Request:

  • In an email, assemble a list of your course sections, including:
  •         course number (ex. CAN101A or CAN340ONL)
  •         course title
  •         course CRN number
  • Write “D2L Course Merge” along with the course number in the subject line
  • Send this email to the Canisius College ITS HelpDesk at helpdesk@canisius.edu

For faculty merging course sections in the summer 2017 sessions, there are some additional course maintenance responsibilities.  Before performing the merge, a COLI or ITS administrator will discuss these with faculty who submitted requests.

ITS anticipates that merges will return to the way they worked previously for the fall 2017 semester
