Regents Ball Rewind

regents-ball
If you couldn’t make this year’s Regents Scholarship Ball – or maybe want to relive the excitement from the gala event – then check out the latest video produced by the Canisius College Media Center.

The three-minute highlight reel captures key moments from the annual event, including the conferral of the Distinguished Citizen Award to New Era Cap CEO Christopher H. Koch, and portions of the remarks from this year’s student speaker and scholarship recipient Tamara Moscovic ’17. (Click here to listen to Tamara’s remarks in their entirety.)

Still want more? Click on the gallery of photos snapped throughout the evening by photographer and adjunct professor Tom Wolf ’86.

Proceeds raised from the Regents Scholarship Ball provide scholarship support to promising students who otherwise might not be able to take advantage of a Canisius education.  This year’s ball set a record, raising more than $180,000.

Baseball Battles Bonaventure

baseball-2017-4
Your Canisius baseball team continues its season-ending, seven-game homestand Tuesday, May 16 when St. Bonaventure makes a visit to Buffalo. First pitch at the Demske Sports Complex is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., not 3:00 p.m. as it appears on many schedules.

St. Bonaventure entered the weekend with a 24-16 record and sat in third place in the Atlantic 10. Canisius is 143rd in the RPI rankings, while the Bonnies are 130th. There are 299 Division I baseball schools.
