For the eighth time in nine years, the Canisius College chapter of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO) took home two Best Chapter Awards at the CEO National Conference and Competition, which took place in Tampa, FL from October 27-29.  The Canisius team competed against CEO chapters from more than 400 colleges and universities.

The Canisius chapter received first place in the “Outstanding Entrepreneurial Networking Initiative” category.  The chapter was recognized for its efforts to encourage and enhance networking electronically, in-person and via such events as regional conferences, an on-campus speaker series and on-site visits to various businesses.

The Canisius chapter was also awarded second place in the “Outstanding Campus E-Diffusion” category.  This award recognized the Canisius team for promoting entrepreneurship to non-business school students.

In addition to these two awards, the Canisius CEO chapter was selected as one of three top universities in the “Outstanding Chapter Fundraising” category.
