Are You Jesuit Educated?

It’s no secret that a Jesuit education transforms students and sends them out into the world to do amazing things – in their professions, their communities and through service to others. But everyone’s story is a little different: some go on to serve in Congress others in the Jesuit Volunteer Corp. Some Jesuit-educated alumni are behind scientific breakthroughs others are breaking records at the Olympics. There are those who lead companies and one, in particular, leads the Catholic Church.

Pope Francis exemplifies the impact of a Jesuit education. Therefore, in advance of his historic visit to the United States, the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) is asking Jesuit-educated faculty, students, staff and alumni to share stories of how they were transformed by their Jesuit education.

Every week from now through Friday, September 25, AJCU will publish essays (300-500 words), quotes, videos and images “to prepare our hearts and minds for Pope Francis’ U.S. visit” in September. Reflections will be published in the online publication, Jesuit Educated, as well as on Twitter and Instagram.

Click here to learn more. Use #JesuitEducated to send Twitter or Instagram posts or send your reflections directly to Deanna Howes, AJCU’s director of communications at dhowes@ajcunet.edu.
