Campus Shredding Day is Tomorrow

Canisius will hold an on-campus shredding day tomorrow, August 20. Lincoln Archives will be at the following campus locations to shred documents for faculty and staff.

Science Hall – 10:00 a.m.
Health Science– 11:00 a.m.
Koessler Athletic Center  – 12:00 p.m.
Churchill Tower/Bagen/Old Main – 1:00 p.m.
Lyons Hall – 2:00 p.m.
Agassiz – 3:00 p.m.

Summer Hours End Friday

Summer hours will end this Friday, August 21. Starting Monday, August 24 all college departments will resume regular working hours (8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) with a one-hour lunch break.

Fall classes will begin on Monday, August 31.

#JesuitEducated

In anticipation of the historic visit of Pope Francis, Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) has invited Jesuit-educated alumni from across the country to share stories of how they were transformed by their Jesuit education in the #JesuitEducated campaign.

Mark Piatkowski, assistant director for student and residence life, recently submitted a video reflection to the AJCU on how Canisius transformed him into a Jesuit educator.

CPD Mini MBA is Open to Employees

The Center for Professional Development (CPD) has five seats open for Canisius employees to participate in its Mini MBA, one of the signature programs. The program starts Monday, September 14 and is conducted during the evening at the CPD.

The Mini MBA is a comprehensive management development program that provides training in the most current and relevant areas in today’s business environment. This program cultivates a fundamental understanding of the primary functions of management and builds a foundation for participants to understand how an organization operates as a whole.

The program is designed for professionals who wish to gain a competitive edge over their business peers through the development of leadership skills and overall business acumen. Past participants come from a wide variety of industries. All are encouraged to attend.
